Meet the Owner of Junk King Kansas City

Jamie Kostelac has spent his career building top-performing junk removal franchises from the ground up. He previously owned and operated a location with a leading national junk removal brand, growing it into one of the top five markets in the country and earning multiple Top Performer awards before being tapped by the corporate office to consult underperforming franchises nationwide. After years of proving what was possible inside someone else's system, Jamie and his partner Aaron Farris made the decision to leave and build something of their own. In 2024, Jamie brought that vision home to Kansas City when they acquired the Junk King franchise, driving record-breaking growth in the first year and expanding to six markets including St. Louis, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, and Phoenix.

Aaron Farris has built his name in this industry through hard work and a genuine focus on the customer experience. He is an Entrepreneur of the Year and Franchise of the Year award winner, recognition earned through years of running a strong operation with one of the national junk removal brands. When the time was right, Aaron and his partner Jamie Kostelac chose to step away and build something on their own terms. That decision led them to Junk King in 2024, starting with Kansas City and growing into five additional markets: St. Louis, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, and Phoenix.
